STIVANT™
Description
Stivant™ is a biosimilar product with generic name of Bevacizumab. Stivant is a recombinant monoclonal antibody that belongs to antiangiogenic group of medicines. It binds to cell surface Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor (VEGF), preventing tumor vascularization and therefore nutrient and oxygen supply to cancerous cells, preventing their growth.
Indication
Stivant is used in different types of cancers such as; metastatic cancer of colon or rectum, progressive glioblastoma, Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer (NSCLC), advanced or metastatic cancer of kidney, ovarian, fallopian tube and primary peritoneal cancer, cervical cancer and metastatic breast cancer (off-label).
Stivant is supplied as a concentrate for solution for infusion in 4 milliliter and 16 milliliter vials containing 100 mg and 400 mg Bevaciuzmab, respectively. Each milliliter of concentrate contains 25 mg of Bevacizumab. Stivant is to be administered as an intravenous infusion after dilution. Each small box of Stivant contains 1 vial and a patient information leaflet.
